: Currently, the consumption of biologically active substances extracted from medicinal plants is widespread among
the population of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Therefore, studies of the plant flora of Kazakhstan, the search for new sources
of biologically active substances and the production of natural medicines from local medicinal plants is relevant.
The aim of the study is isolation and identification of flavonoids from plant material Verbascum orientale family Scrophulariaceae. In this paper for the first time reflects the results of isolation and identification of flavonoids contained in extracts of
the aerial part of plants of the Verbascum orientale species of the Scrophulariaceae family collected during fruiting in August -
September 2018 in East Kazakhstan..
For isolation of flavonoids were used sequential extraction methods and silica gel absorption chromatography.
The results of the study of flavonoids showed that from the aerial part of the plant of the genus Verbascum orientale isolated
individual substance-luteolin. The structure of the obtained individual substance was identified by chemical transformations
and studied by modern physicochemical methods IR, UV, 1 H-NMR and 13 C-NMR, mass spectrometry.
