This article analyzes the samples that were obtained in the study of atmospheric deposition of heavy metals in
the Western territories of the Republic of Kazakhstan based on the analysis of moss biomonitors.
The study was conducted using the method of neutron activation analysis in the IBR-2 reactor in the Laboratory of Neutron
Physics. THEM. Franca Joint Institute for Nuclear Research of the city of Dubna. The content of 45 elements in moss samples
was determined.
For a more accurate determination of the source of pollution and the origin of pollutant elements, an analysis was performed
using atomic emission spectrometry with inductively coupled plasma on an ICPE-9000 unit at Dubna State University. Examples
of various interpretations of the data are given.
