Graphene oxide (ГО) and reduced graphene oxide (ВГО) have excellent properties for various applications. In
this article is given the synthesis and characterization of ГО and ВГО. ГО was obtained using a modified Hammers method, then
the resulting ГО was subjected to chemical reduction using hydrazine monohydrate. ГО and ВГО had different morphology,
quality, functionalized groups, absorption peaks and crystallinity. Infrared analysis showed the presence of abundant oxygencontaining functional groups in the ГО compared with ВГО. The results of the analysis showed that ГО was successfully oxidized
from graphite, whereas ВГО was effectively recovered from ГО.
