Abstract

The article presents the results of a study of the theoretical aspects of sustainable development of rural areas.
The analysis of the main definitions of rural areas and sustainable development, identified characteristics and factors, which
emphasize the prominent scientists involved in this issue. Based on the analysis of the notion of sustainable development of
rural areas.
The analysis of studies showed that the process of sustainability is due, on the one hand, to the General content of the reforms
carried out in the country, and on the other hand, to the economic, social, environmental situation, demographic specifics of
territorial entities.The results can be useful for researchers dealing with the problem of sustainable development of rural areas
